If you’re a cinema fan, then this one is for you! Not often can you get tickets to the cinema for free, so this could save you a bit of money!

Cinema tickets at Odeon cost £12+ for an adult now, which is just ludicrous, so a cinema date for two would be around £25 (or maybe more). It’s cheaper to just buy the DVD in most cases. Luckily, there is a way for you to get 2 free cinema tickets by stacking an offer from Groupon and Quidco.

How to get free Cinema tickets

If you saw my blog a few weeks ago, Groupon currently have a cinema deal on, where you get 2 tickets for £10, or 5 tickets for £20.

You’ll have to pay a 75p booking fee when you book each ticket, but it’s still a good deal, as it drops the price of tickets from £12+ to just £4.75 or £5.75. But there’s now a way to stack it with another offer if you’re a new customer to Quidco.

Sign up to Quidco

If you’re not familiar with Quidco, it’s a cashback website which pays you a percentage of cashback whenever you buy anything online – from clothes to insurance, to cinemas. It’s the same concept as TopCashback.

If you’re a new customer to Quidco, you can sign up to their website and as a bonus for signing up, you’ll receive £10 of cashback if you purchase the cinema deal from Groupon (as well as normal cashback for clicking through). You’ll end up getting more in cashback than you’ve actually spent – making a profit!

This will fully pay for the 2 cinema tickets, or give you a cheaper price on the bigger package, getting 5 tickets for £10 (£2 each).

How to claim it

In order to get your £10 bonus, you’ll need to sign up to Quidco through this link. Once you’ve created an account, click through the Groupon link that you arrive on saying ‘get my tickets’

You’ll then be directed through to Groupon’s cinema offer, where you’ll need to purchase one of them.

Because you’ve clicked through Quidco’s link, it should track if you spend anything, meaning they can pay you cashback from it. Once you have purchased, your cashback should be tracked and added to your Quidco account after a few hours.

This does mean, that you wont get the cashback straight away, and you’ll need to spend the money upfront, but you will get it back.

Withdraw your cashback

Once your cashback has gone through and been accepted, you can withdraw it as a bank transfer after putting in your bank details. You can choose to claim your cashback as a gift card at a number of shops and restaurants and get an added bonus extra if you wish too.

If you’re already signed up to Quidco, try getting a relative or partner to sign up if they haven’t already. You can use these tickets on any film you like including Star Wars, Frozen 2 and 1917.

I hope this helps you – and gives you a little insight into cashback if you haven’t used it already. If you haven’t downloaded Airtime Rewards, that’s a cashback app which is much easier.

Will you be getting some free cinema tickets? I’d love to know in the comments below, on Twitter at @Jordon_Cox or on Facebook.
