Facebook Pixels

We use the Facebook Pixel in the basic version to display personalised advertising for you on the Facebook platform. Facebook is operated by Facebook Ireland Ltd, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2 Ireland (“Facebook”).

For this purpose, we transmit information about your user activity on our website and certain other personal data (such as your pixel ID and the Facebook cookie) to Facebook via the pixel. This information also includes, in particular, so-called http headers (e.g. your IP address and information about your browser) and click data (i.e. the buttons clicked on our website as well as their names and the web pages visited). This allows users of our website to be shown interest based advertisements (“Facebook Ads” / “Instagram Ads”) when they visit the social network Facebook or other websites that also use this function and allows us to make our website even more interesting for you.

Due to the tools used, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection with the Facebook server. We have no influence on the scope and further use of the data collected by Facebook through the use of the pixel. Through the integration of

Facebook Custom Audiences, Facebook receives the information that you have called up a corresponding online offer from us or clicked on an ad from us. If you are registered with one of Facebook’s services, Facebook can assign the visit to your respective account. Even if you are not registered with Facebook or have not logged in, there is a possibility that the provider will learn and store your IP address and other identifiers. The Facebook pixel enables the measurement, evaluation and optimisation of the effectiveness of Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes. We only receive reports from Facebook in anonymised form.

The legal basis for the processing of your personal data is your explicit consent according to Art. 6 (1) a) GDPR.

Deactivating the “Facebook Custom Audiences” function is also possible for logged-in users at www.facebook.com/settings/. For more information on the collection and use of data by Facebook, as well as your rights in this regard and options for protecting your privacy, please refer to Facebook’s privacy policy (https://www.facebook.com/privacy/explanation). You can revoke your consent to the use of the Facebook pixel at any time with effect for the future by following this link: https://www.facebook.com/login.php? next=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fads%2Fpreferences%2F%3Fentry_pro duct%3Dad _settings_screen.
