It’s a deal which comes around quite often, but it might be even more needed in these times.

Whether you’ve got a socially distanced barbecue coming up, or just want to fill your wine fridge, there’s a deal happening now which will save you some money.

How to get it

From Thursday 30th July – Wednesday 5th August, you can get 25% off bottles of wine, champagne or prosecco when you buy 6 bottles.

The deal is available at Sainsbury’s either online or in store, though unfortunately Sainsbury’s Local stores don’t have the offer – it’s only at superstores.

You can only receive the discount when buying wine, prosecco or champagne in groups of 6.

You are able to mix & match with different bottles and types of fizzy, as long as they are included in the offer. You can check out the full list of what’s included here.

And again… I’m sorry Scotland, but alcohol promotions are not valid where you are.

Examples of price

There are 8 pages worth of different wines and fizz to choose from. Some are already on offer, and the extra 25% off drops the price down even further.

If it’s bog standard wine you wanted, you can grab some from £4.31 a bottle.

Or, if you’re after some premium champagne, you can get some that were £35 each, for just £18.75 a bottle.

Here are a few examples of what you can get:

PinotPinot Pinot Grigio pink (rosé) wine 75cl

  • On sale at £5.75 (norm £7)
  • 25% off 6 bottles

Total for 6 bottles after promo: £25.88 (£4.31 each)

Total cost normally: £42

Barefoot Malbec (red wine) 75cl

  • On sale at £5.75 (norm £6.75)
  • 25% off 6 bottles

Total for 6 bottles after promo: £25.88 (£4.31 each)

Total cost normally: £40.50

Maschio Prosecco Doc Brut 75cl

  • On sale at £7.50 (norm £10)
  • 25% off 6 bottles

Total for 6 bottles after promo: £33.75 (£5.63 each)

Total cost normally: £60

Mumm Cordon Rouge Champagne Brut, Non Vintage 75cl

  • On sale at £25 (norm £35)
  • 25% off 6 bottles

Total for 6 bottles after promo: £112.50 (£18.75 each)

Total cost normally: £210

If wine, prosecco or champagne were on the shopping list this week, then hopefully this saves you a bit of money on your tipple of choice.

Remember, if you’re going into a Sainsbury’s supermarket, there may be restrictions on how many can enter at a time, and reduced hours may be in place.

If you’re an NHS worker or disabled, you may be able to get into the store during your own private hours (be sure to check it’s opening times).

And of course… remember to drink responsibly.

Will you be heading to Sainsbury’s to stock up? I’d love to know in the comments below, on Twitter @Jordon_Cox or on Facebook.

Can I simply just say what a comfort to discover somebody that truly understands
what they’re talking about on the internet. You certainly know how
to bring an issue to light and make it important. More and more people really need to read this and understand this side
of the story. I was surprised you are not more popular given that you most certainly
    have the gift.
