There’s a great deal on right now which will get you a whole tub of ice cream for just £1 – making it cheaper than the likes of Ben & Jerry’s and Häagen-Dazs

In my world, nothing solves more problems than a tub of ice cream. It may be a problem after I’ve eaten the whole tub in one go… but that’s a different discussion.

Nevertheless, there’s a deal stack on now which gets you a whole tub of 475g ice cream for just £1.

Here’s what it is, and how to claim it.

What is Oppo ice cream?

It might not be the most well known brand, but Oppo ice cream is becoming more and more popular.

According to its website, it claims to have ‘60% less calories and sugar than regular ice cream, with no compromise on taste’.

That seems to be the case too, as on the tubs you see banners that say ‘178 calories per 1/2 a tub. Not bad if you’re on a diet but want something sweet.

The 3 flavours available are ‘double salted caramel’, ‘chocolate & hazelnut’ & ‘vanilla pecan’.

Here’s what it looks like, and how to get it for £1:

Step 1: Head to Tesco where there’s an offer

Normally the ice cream is priced at £4.50 a tub, which is a little on the expensive side – but fear not.

Currently at Tesco, there’s an offer on Oppo ice cream at £3 for a tub, which gets you a £1.50 discount.

The deal is on until Monday 24 August at Tesco Extra & Superstores nationwide.

Step 2: Use a £2 off coupon

To make this deal even sweeter, if you read my blog on the Tesco magazine coupons for July/August, you might have spotted a coupon for Oppo ice cream.

There’s a coupon in there for £2 off any tub of Oppo ice cream – valid until Sunday 27 September.

Find yourself a magazine and rip out the coupon – and it’ll drop the price down to just £1.

As always with the Tesco Magazine, it’s free – so you can pick up as many copies as you want (within reason obviously). So if you wanted more than one tub, you can pick up several.

If you’re an online Tesco shopper, there is also an online code (GRM4LP) which you can enter at the checkout to get you the £2 off.
