There’s nothing I love more than getting freebies. But did you know buying certain magazines have freebies inside worth more than the magazine itself?

Most things are heading online now. It’s the same with most magazines, as you can get subscriptions for most of them to read on your phone or tablet.

That’s all well and good, but you could be missing out on freebies included in some of them! Quite a few you’ll find have plastic wrapping around them that houses little goodies along with it.

Although they aren’t total freebies when you buy magazines to get them – they often outweigh the cost.

It’s worth noting, that if the freebies aren’t useful to you, then it’s not worth getting them – as you’ll just be spending money when you wouldn’t normally spend it.

I’ve filmed a little magazine unboxing (or unpacking) video below – to show you a little bit of what’s inside!

Dare magazine – £13 of freebies

The Dare magazine is only £3 to pick up but has £13 worth of freebies inside. You can find this magazine in places like WHSmith and the magazine sections of larger supermarkets.

This is the Winter 2020 edition of the magazine, and as it’s nearly Spring, you might want to go quick to find this in stores.

The freebies inside might not be things that you normally buy, so it’s worth factoring that into your decision when buying. The magazine includes:

  • Colgate Plax Cool Mint (norm £1.50)
  • The Liner Revolution eye liner (norm £4.25)
  • 2x Patch natural bamboo plasters (norm 50p ish)
  • Roots hair loss spray (norm £6.99)

If you weren’t to use the hair loss spray for example, you could try to sell this on eBay or Facebook, as that’s the most expensive product. If you were after some eye liner though for example, that is worth more than the price of the magazine – so it could be a good buy.

Red Magazine – £24 of freebies

This magazine is slightly more expensive at £5.99 to buy – however the freebie is worth more.

Inside the April 2020 edition of Red magazine (which is published in March), you can get a Rodial Glamolash mascara – which is said to be worth £24.

The mascara is 13ml, and the closest comparable product that I could find was 10ml at £24… so it might actually be worth a bit more.

You can find the magazine in most places (supermarkets, newsagents, WHSmith etc), as it is widely available.

If you were in the market for a mascara (or wanted to give it away as a present (Mothers Day is coming up), this would be a great option.

Red Magazine Freebies

Those are a few of the best magazine freebies I spotted. Hope those have helped you save a bit of money.

If you’re looking for more freebies, the Shopmium app has a few of them you can claim right now.

Will you be claiming these magazine freebies? Have you seen any recently worth shouting about? I’d love to know in the comments below, on Twitter @Jordon_Cox or on Facebook.

Thanks for posting Jordon. Magazines have got so expensive but I will look out for Dare, at only £3 it’s not too bad and the eyeliner will be a nice little extra present for my daughter’s birthday next month.
