Smart speakers in your home might have sounded crazy 20 years ago, but it’s a reality today.
When they were first released – it was £100s to have one. But now… you can get one for free.
And if you can’t get it for free, you can get it for £4.99 or £9.99. It usually costs £49.99 brand new!

Get a Free Google Nest Mini
Are you a subscriber to Spotify Premium? Because that’s all you’ll need to claim the deal.
If you’re a member and paying a monthly subscription, it may not be totally obvious about how to get it (as Spotify has changed around the promotion page) – but here’s how:
Head onto this page, which is a progress page for the freebie. Once signed it, it will likely say “You haven’t registered for this deal”
Underneath where it says this – you’ll see a “register now” button. Click on it, and follow instructions to get your freebie.
Shortly after, you’ll receive an email with instructions to claim it (though it may take a few days for this email to arrive).
You can choose between several different colours, and the discount is taken off automatically at checkout, so you pay nothing.
If you’ve never used the Google Store before, you’ll need to fill out a delivery address. Once entered, you’ll receive your freebie in the post.
A Google Nest Mini at the moment is retailing for around £25 (although the RRP is £49.99).

What if you don’t have Spotify premium?
You can still get the deal if you’re not signed up to Spotify premium right now – just sign up for a month.
If you follow the promotional page, then you will go through the steps to signing up and claiming.
Though please note, if you sign up for the free month trial, it won’t let you claim the freebie, so be sure to opt out (or you can end your free trial to claim it).
If for some reason there is no prompt for you to claim it, follow the same instructions as a registered member above.
For a normal adult subscription, it costs £9.99 for a month, so if you wanted a month’s worth of songs, and a free Google Nest Mini that you get to keep – it’s a great deal.
If you’re a student or still in higher education – it’s even cheaper for you. A monthly subscription is only £4.99. So, your smart speaker and a month of music will cost less than a takeaway.
There is nothing to stop you cancelling your subscription after you’ve claimed the offer and had your Google Nest Mini delivered. This offer is to get people to try Spotify and stay with them – but it’s not required.
If you are going to sign up just to get the freebie, please remember to cancel – or it’ll take out more money next month.

The offer ends on Wednesday 30 September, or when there is no more stock. There is no information on how many are available, so if it’s something you want, it’s better to do it sooner rather than later.
You can’t claim this deal if you have claimed similar deals promoted by Spotify in the past few years.
The deal also works with Duo and Family packages, although T&Cs say that the amount available are limited for those plans.
