Whether it’s coffee, tea or your favourite smoothie… you can get a whole month of drinks for free with YourPret.

Nowadays, you can get subscription services for everything. Whether it’s socks, video games or even bacon (which I’ve tried).

But this new one, looks pretty good – and can actually save you a lot of money (especially if you work in a big city).

Here’s what it is, and how you can get it:

YourPret Barista Subscription Service

If you’re a Pret fan, you’re in for a treat. On Tuesday 8th September, they launched a new subscription service that gets you free hot or cold drinks every single day for a monthly fee.

It’s called the ‘YourPret Barista’ subscription service, and costs £20 per month.

The service entitles you to 5 drinks a day at any of its Pret stores nationwide, including airports and railway stations (find your nearest).

You’ll have to wait 30 minutes between ordering each drink for free, but it’ll still mean you’re saving a lot on your usual cuppa (if you’ll use it enough).

How does it work?

If you fancy giving it a try, head on over to Pret’s website, which will sign you up for the subscription.

After signing up, they’ll send you a voucher QR code to your email address, which can be added to your mobile wallet.

You’ll need to scan this QR code at the till every time you order a drink, and it’ll come off of your account – you won’t need to pay.

How to get 1 months free

If you wanted all of this for free – you can for the first month, and there’s not really a catch.

When you sign up to the YourPret Barista subscription, you get 1 month free. That means the first 31 days of your subscription, you can get 5 drinks a day for free.

In reality, you could end up getting 155 free drinks that adds up to over £300 in value… although you may not be able to get much sleep after that much caffeine!

Perhaps more likely, if you get one free drink every weekday, you’ll get around £50 in freebie drinks.

To get all this, you’ll have to sign up and have a direct debit set up, and you’ll have £1 taken out of your account to verify card details, but this is refunded to you after 3 days.

But the best part is, that you can cancel at anytime. You can even cancel as soon as you sign up, and the free trial sees out the rest of the month.

So, you are able to have a whole 31 days of free drinks and cancel before the £20 a month subscription starts coming out of your account.

YourPret – Is it worth it?

This does seem like a good deal on the face of it (even £20 a month), but you’ll have to weigh in your personal circumstances first.

First off, Pret stores aren’t spread all around the country. There are plenty in London (one on every street corner where I used to work), but elsewhere there may not be as many. Find your nearest here.

Secondly, if you continue the subscription to pay £20 per month, you’ll have to purchase around 10 or more coffees from Pret to break even on the deal.

So in order to properly make proper savings out of the deal, you’ll be needing to buy at least 15+ drinks in a month.

This may be easy to do if you work in London for example, and get a coffee on your way into the office… but if you’re working from home more, or live in a place where Pret shops are scarce, it may not be for you.

By all means get the free month for some free brews… but think twice about continuing.

Conclusion

There we are! YourPret could be a fantastic deal for you, and if you live close-by, you could get yourself a lot of free drinks.

If you do get the free trial, it might be worth ordering a different drink every time – as it’s all free! If you don’t like it, you haven’t lost anything.

Hope this has saved you money as always!
