Throughout my life, I’ve always looked for different ways to make money. More often than not, you have to put a bit of work in to start making money online.
However there is a way to make some extra money (which might not be guaranteed), that is pretty easy, and only takes a click a day.
Free lotteries are pretty easy to understand. On signing up to each one, you get some kind of entry – and all you need to do is check back each day to see if you’re a winner.
Back 4 to 5 years ago, free lotteries online were huge. There would be thousands of entries, and people checking to see if they’d won each day.
Nowadays it’s different. There are now a lot more free online lottery websites where you can win free money, but nowhere near as many people checking.
These websites are not gambling. You never have to pay any money to enter. Most of it is just singing up and checking back each day to see if you’ve won. It’s a bit of fun, with a chance of free money.
This could open a goldmine for you, as if you check each website just once per day, it could mean you grab some free cash. (You could also make money scrolling the web too).
In the past, between me and my mum (who won £50 on a selfie lottery), we’ve won over £200 in free cash – which isn’t bad for checking back to different free lotteries each day.
If you want to start winning some cash, there’s not really much too it. All you need is a bit of luck and perseverance.

Pick My Postcode is the longest running and perhaps the most famous free online lottery.
It used to be known as the “Free Postcode Lottery”, and is one of the most visited websites in the United Kingdom.
Once you sign up with your postcode of where you live, that is your entry ticket. Everyone has one and remembers their own, so it’s an easy one to check.
Postcodes usually cover a whole road or street, so if you live on a road with a lot of other houses, some of your neighbours could potentially be playing too.
This slightly increases your chances of winning, as there’s one extra entry of your postcode. But it also means you may split the prize pot if your postcode wins, and they claim as well.
There are 5 different draws.
- The main draw which has a jackpot starting at £200 and rolls over when it’s not claimed.
- A video draw where watching a video reveals a postcode. If not claimed it rolls over (£50-unlimited jackpot)
- The Stackpot draw where 3 postcodes are released each day, and every time it isn’t claimed, £10 gets added to the pot (£10-unlimited jackpot)
- Survey Draw where completing a survey reveals a postcode. Rolls over if unclaimed (£50-unlimited jackpot)
- Bonus Draw, where once you have added enough bonus cash through checking each day, you unlock special draws of £5, £10 and £20 prizes
If you happen to be a winner, a large ‘claim’ button will appear on the page revealing your winning postcode. You’ll have to wait until the end of the day to see if any of your neighbours claim also – as that will split your winnings.
Any money won will be sent to your PayPal account shortly after your win – and any bonuses you’ve collected up until that point will be added to it as well.

Win A Dinner is made by the same people as Pick My Postcode, but instead of it being a lottery for cash, it’s a free lottery for winning meals.
You can choose a £25 voucher for a restaurant of your choice. There are other options for picking a prize too (in light of current times). Here are the prizes you can choose from:

When you sign up, you can set your username – and that will be your entry into the draw. If your username is picked, you win a prize.
There are a minimum of 2 winners each day (but there have been 9 winners recently).
If you’re a winner, there will be a claim button when you log into the website, in order to get your prize. You can choose whatever you want, and you’ll be sent your prize within 10 working days.
If prizes are not claimed, they are rolled over to the next draw, making more winners and more chances to win.
Accounts that don’t log into the website for 3 months are paused, and their entries are not counted anymore. Upon a user logging back in is when their entries will start back up again.

My Lucky Patch

My Lucky Patch is a free lottery with a map of the UK. Each night, a random square on the map of the UK will be selected.
If you own that square, you win the prize pot, which stands at £100 minimum and up to £300.
To enter, sign up to the website and you can start claiming ‘patches’ around where you live, or a random location.
Each day you can select more and more patches, with your previous selections always being active.
Every day, a patch is selected that has been claimed by somebody. An empty patch will never be selected – so someone will win each day.
If you win, you’ll be able to claim when you log in, and they money will be sent to your through PayPal.
The more you log in and claim patches each day, the higher your chance of winning.
Freemoji Lottery

Every day at 7pm
As the modern times move… so do the free lotteries. In the Freemoji draws, instead of numbers, you own special combination of emojis form your lottery ticket – and they could win you a lot of money.
Each day at 7pm, a new combination of emojis are drawn. When you sign up, you input which emojis you want (and in which order). If your combination matches the winning one, you win the prize pot.
For some reason, the prizes are given in US dollars (even though it looks like a British website).
So if you win, you can hit the claim button, and the prize will be paid into your PayPal account. It will need converting to pounds – which means you get a little bit less than stated in dollars.
The prize pot starts at $20, and goes up by $20 each time it isn’t claimed. At the time of writing, the winner would get $300 if they claimed – so it could end up being a big prize.
There is also another draw called the “fiver draw” – where every day somebody also wins $5 – so have a check there too for a smaller prize.

This works very similarly to Freemoji – although for this draw, there is less money to be won.
With this free lottery, you only need to select 3 different emojis in a sequence to enter. If your combination of emojis gets picked, then you win the prize pot.
There is no roll over with this one – if you win, you get £10 regardless on whether people before you have claimed or not.
If you’re lucky enough to win, there will be a claim button pop up, which when you click, you can claim the money through PayPal.
There is also a refer a friend scheme where you earn more money towards your prize pot, which you get as a bonus if you’re lucky enough to win a day.

Every day at 11am
Like your postcode, everyone remembers the date they are born – and this can win you money in one of the simplest of the free lotteries.
Sign up to the website with your email address and birthdate (including your year of birth).
Every day, a new date of birth is drawn, and if it’s yours, you win the prize pot.
There are no rollovers in the prize pot – so each time you can only win £10, but it’s still worth checking.
You can also see if you’ve won an accompanying free lottery, where filling out a survey unlocks another date of birth to win £10.
With both, if your date of birth appears, there should be claim button to get your money – which will be sent to you through PayPal.
The Selfie Lottery

With this free lottery, your own face is your route of entry. Every day at 1pm, a new selfie is chosen, and if you see your own face staring back at you, that prize pot is yours

It doesn’t matter if it’s a nice one or an ugly one – it won’t boost your chance of winning unfortunately. Although your face will go on show to everyone if you win, so bare that in mind.
If you are lucky enough to win, you’ll be able to claim when you log in, and submit your PayPal email address to claim your prize.
You can earn more money to add to your prize pot by logging in each day and completing surveys, but they aren’t compulsory.

Big Free Giveaway – Free Lotteries

Once a week on Saturdays at 6pm
This one is slightly different to the others. Big Free Giveaway has both a raffle and an actual lottery (where you pick numbers between 1-59), and you can enter both.
For the raffle, you can win the prize pot by collecting raffle tickets. You get a free ticket each day you log in, and they are drawn on Saturdays. So you could have up to 7 tickets for the raffle to increase your chances.
There are usually 10 winners, with the first ticket pulled out winning 50% of the prize pot, the second ticket winning 25% and so on.
When it comes to the lottery – this works very similarly to The National Lottery.
Every week, you can pick 6 random numbers between 1-59, and then wait for the results to come out on Saturdays at 6pm.
The person who matches the most numbers wins £100, if you match the second most amount of numbers, you win £50, and the third most wins £15.
With both of these draws, you don’t have to log in – you’ll receive an email after the draws letting you know that you’re a winner. This is quite handy – so then you won’t miss it.
In the email congratulating you, there will be a chance to send over your email, for funds to be transferred through PayPal.

The Free Lucky Lottery is pretty easy to enter – and there is only so many entries that this one can have.
Enter your email address to the website, and then pick a random 4 digit number between 0000 and 9999.
If on a daily draw your number is picked – you win the prize pot. If it’s not claimed, it rolls over up to a maximum of £52 in prize money.
Of course, if you pick a common number (like 1111), or a birthday (anything ending in 01-12) – it’s very likely someone has picked your number too. That means your prize pot might be split between multiple people.
If you can – try and pick a completely random number and note it down somewhere.
If you do not log into your account for over a week, your account is considered dormant, and your number is not entered into the draw – so it’s worth logging in just to keep it open and have a chance of winning.
As there are only 10,000 individual numbers available, and the fact most accounts may go dormant – you likely have a good shot with this.
If you’re lucky enough to win, you can claim on the website put inputting your PayPal details.
Free National Lotto – Free Lotteries
How much can you win?
3 different draws, between £5 to £2,000
When are winners announced?
9am, 12pm and 8pm daily
This website is the closest to the normal lottery. By picking 5 numbers between 1-40, you can enter different draws, 2 of which are drawn every day for prizes of £5-10.
The smaller prizes can be found on the Daily Draw and the Survey Draw – in which you can win smaller prizes.
In each of these, 5 numbers will be chosen which matches someone’s combination that they have entered the draws with.
If that combination happens to be yours, you win the prize on offer. There will be a claim button on the site, you you to click and fill out your details for a PayPal transfer.
The main draw and survey draw pick winners daily at 12pm and 9am respectively.
There is also another draw called the “5 Ball Draw”, where 5 random numbers are picked out, and if you match all 5, you win the top prize of £2,000.
This is obviously more tricky – and often nobody wins that draw. This one is drawn twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays at 8pm.
How Do I Know Free Lotteries Are Legit?
I know, all of this sounds too good to be true. You’re right to be skeptical – because giving away money online for free doesn’t happen very often.
But these free lotteries are totally legit. Most of them earn their money through advertising, so whenever you see an advert on their site, it gets them a bit of money.
The money they make from the advertising goes directly to paying for the prizes (and some of it goes to them to make a bit of money themselves).
Some of these websites offer ‘survey draws’, which is another way for them to make money too.
You can tell that these free lottery websites are fine, as at no point do they ask your for bank or payment details when signing up.
You’ll have to give a PayPal account when you’ve won – and that’s another layer of protection, as they can’t take money from your PayPal email address.
You should usually get your money within seven working days, but some of them pay the same day. So you won’t have to wait long for the cash to be rolling in.
Make sure you have these websites bookmarked, and when a new winner is announced each day, you can check to see if it’s you.
I recommend checking them all once a day at around 8-9pm, that way they have all picked a new winner, and you can go through them all together.
