Hello! Happy new year! I can’t tell you how excited I am that you’re reading this – because this is my brand new website & hub for all things deals.

If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ll know that I’ve been at MoneySavingExpert for the past 4 years (home of Martin Lewis). I spent my time there writing blogs, tricks, hacks, filming videos and exposing the shady goings on from major retailers.

I absolutely loved that job – and was something I felt like I was born to do (hopefully I did a good job too!) So why am I now blogging on my own site all by myself? Here’s the story:

Why did I leave MSE?

It sounds absolutely crazy! MSE is the biggest financial website in the country. Why would I want to leave?

Well… to tell you the truth, I’ve always wanted to better myself and improve. I have a lot of blogger friends who do it full time, but work for themselves, writing their own content at their own pace. It always made me wonder if that was something I could do too.

I had a taste of it when I was very ill in hospital in 2018, and started posting on this very website to get me through my illness (some of the articles I’ve kept on the site for me to look back to). I decided from that point, that I wanted to take the leap.

Not only could I write about whatever I wanted, it would also free me up to do more fun things that I maybe couldn’t have done while in full time employment.

Being the money saver that I am, it also costs me £400+ a month to commute in and out of London to get to the office – which I’ll obviously be saving while working for myself.

What will happen now?

If you have been following my blogs on MSE and are now here – not much will change! I’ll still be writing about my favourite topic (deals), but just be posting them on this website instead.

In fact, I’ll have more freedom to write more content and teach you even more ways to cut your costs than ever before!

I’ve got a whole pipeline of blogs for me to write, companies to work with and you may even be seeing me on your screens in the new year too! All in all, it should mean everyone is happier – and we can all start the new decade on the right foot.

How can you help?

If there was one tiny plea from me however – it is now even more important that you continue to read my new posts and blogs.

I’ve taken the leap from a stable income to total uncertainty – so reading all of my new posts, maybe sharing some too would go a long way.

I’ll be using affiliate links on this site too – which means if you click through my links and purchase something, or interact with something I’m recommending, I’ll get paid a small commission at no cost to you. Hopefully this will keep my lights on and my bills paid.

One thing I won’t be doing however is accepting paid for posts. If I write about something it’s because I think it’s something you need to know about – even if that means me turning cash down.

My years of being at MSE has taught me the value of true independence – so everything I recommend on this site will be genuine.

I’ll be posting everything on this website, as well as on my social media accounts (Facebook & Twitter), so be sure to either bookmark or follow me so you don’t miss anything.

What can I start reading now?

I hope you’re as excited to start seeing some new deals and hacks as I am! I’ve launched the site today (1st Jan 2020) with some brand new content – with several new blogs coming every week too. Here’s a few blogs to kick you off:

I hope you continue to follow me on this journey! I’ve been blogging since age 15, and I’m now approaching 23 doing the same thing.

I’m very glad to have found something I’m so passionate about at such a young age. A massive thank you to you for sticking with me all this time – because I wouldn’t be here otherwise.
